I bought your course but found that the module for finding a niche cannot be easily applied for the following reasons: 1) domain (com, net, org) that match exact keywords are almost taken by someone else; 2) even if you can find an exact match keyword domain, changes are there are other competitors building similar niche review sites, simply adding good quality articles and build links with some social book marking do not seem to work well; 3) can you elaborate in details how to do the SEO for a specific niche using real exams (e.g., if you say social bookmarking, can you tell us how to find those sites or even provide a list of sites; if you use blog comments, can you walk thru the process to find good quality blog that accept comments with “do follow” etc
You should put that you’re a participant of Amazon’s affiliate program somewhere on your website. But do people know when they’re clicking a link if it’s an affiliate link or not? Depends on if they look at the entire URL string or if you tell them. Frankly I think as long as you’re providing value for the reader and as long as you put the Amazon disclosure in your blog post then that is good.
Grocery delivery company Instacart announced today that its partnership with Amazon-owned Whole Foods is coming to an end. Instacart was in the midst of a five-year deal signed in 2016 that established the company as Whole Foods’ exclusive delivery carrier, but the deal became complicated when Amazon acquired Whole Foods in 2017. The details of how the contract was ended are unclear, but it makes sense that Amazon would now want to deliver its own groceries through its own Prime Now and AmazonFresh services.

At the moment I am in a niche I'm passionate about and yes although I am primarily using Amazon to monetize my site, I will be branching out to use other methods very soon. It frightens me to think the plug can be pulled at any time! Here you can change your contact information, update your site profile, modify your payment settings, add users to your account, and more. Only the primary account user can change payment settings and add new people to the account.
The point of the service is to encourage you to leave reviews of the product. This typically is reserved for newly released products. They don’t have a huge amount of products, but they are at great prices. for instance, you can get a 3-piece stainless steel barbecue set for only $5. That’s about 80% off the price it would sell on Amazon. As noted, you get the price because you have to submit a product review on Amazon. Companies are spending money to reduce the price in order to get reviews. You have to be honest in your review.
Mechanical Turk, or mTurk, isn’t necessarily what I would consider one of the best ways to make money on Amazon, but it is a way nonetheless. This crowdsourcing site has been around since before I started working from home in 2007 and allows workers to earn money completing small tasks. The majority of the things I did here back in the day were transcription, data entry, categorizing. It’s often mindless work that takes only a few minutes to complete. The pay reflects that. You aren’t going to make a livable wage on mTurk, but it can be a fun way to pass the time if nothing good is on television.
One thing I do is have websites that are set up in lower competition niches where the items typically aren’t as expensive and where it’s easier to sell these products in larger quantities ($50 or less). Then I have other niche sites that sell more expensive products at much higher prices ($XXX – $X,XXX) that are sold less frequently. So this way I get to use the increased quantity of sales from these lower priced product websites to help me get up into higher payout brackets so instead of making 6% on that high end item I’ll get 8% instead.
Honestly you just need to narrow down to a niche that you want to focus on and then move forward with something. I spent less than a few hundred bucks when I first got started. Now years and years later, I’ll spend tens of thousands of dollars starting or buying something if I want to. But that’s the fun part is that unless you have a big inheritance everyone starts from zero and then tries to grow from there.
However, if you are looking to make money via Mechanical Turk, its easy to sign up and get started working.  You likely won't make a ton of money doing these simple tasks that often only pay 10 cents or so, but it could be an easy way to save up some money to start a business.  (I discussed saving up to start a business recently as a great way to go).

I haven’t tried this method, but I’ve heard it does in fact work. I have tested it in theory and you can see that above. Basically, you are tricking the Amazon shopping cart system to give you free shipping even though you don’t match the threshold. See, Amazon gives free shipping on orders of $35 or more. They also now give free shipping on items of 8oz and less. You can read more about these two free shipping initiatives here.

The same goes for when Amazon starts selling a product against you. The best retail arbitrage opportunities are when you're competing against other third party sellers – because it's a level playing field. However, if Amazon decided that Skyline Chili sells so well that they want to start buying and selling it directly, they'll probably have a retail price similar to your local store.

You're going to be doing product reviews and recommendations, so pick a topic that you enjoy and about which you can demonstrate some expertise. Choose a narrow enough niche to be distinctive—for example, bands from your city, left-handed guitarists, music for a certain kind of dancing, authors of a certain religion, books about business, or arts and crafts resources. If you can't stay passionate about the topic, that will show.

Amazon has a bestseller page found simply at Amazon.com/bestsellers and so one thing I’ve done on my site is publish a bestsellers list and simply mention the currently trending bestsellers. Generally speaking the cream rises to the top so if you write an article talking about the bestselling products those are likely to be the best products your visitors are looking to buy anyway.


The tension between Instacart and Amazon has been brewing since the acquisition. Last month, it was reported by Business Insider that it was cheaper to order Whole Foods delivery through Instacart than Amazon, after Instacart quietly lowered its annual fee to $99 to compete with Amazon Prime’s $119 annual membership. Instacart has also since sought out other sources of revenue besides Amazon, by partnering with other retailers like Kroger, Costco, and Sam’s Club, in addition to receiving VC funding.
Hey Chris, ok I have an affiliate site with 2000 products. Is their a plugin or something to let me know if a product is no longer available. Or is their a plugin that checks links everyday automatically to let me know if their is a problem. Nothing worse than clicking a link to find out the page is no longer available. I’m not about to click all my links to check either.
Very interesting post. I am saving this page for future reference. I personally liked tip #9. I know some people who try to locate themselves in niches that sell high valued products only and they do not make enough sales, consequently low commission as well. It’s better to target those items that sell quickly first, where people do not do a lot of thinking and research before buying.
One possibility is to use different tracking IDs. Of these you can generate up to 100. To do this, you can simply generate a new tracking ID and assign it to only one Amazon Affiliate link on your website. In the statistics of the different tracking IDs, you can then see which and how often each of the links were clicked and how many products were purchased through them.
One thing to remember about Amazon Flex is that you will not be considered an employee of the company, but rather an independent contractor. Thus, you will be responsible for withholding taxes on your own and will not receive any benefits from Amazon. You are also responsible for paying for gas, tolls, parking fees and wear and tear on your car. If you drive a gas-guzzler or an unreliable vehicle, this job might not be right for you.
Feedvisor: Very expensive algorithmic repricer that optimizes your margin by trying to win the Buy Box most of the time and takes into account other factors that affect who wins the Buy Box aside from price. Unlike any other repricer, it will raise your price (again, within limits) if you can still win the Buy Box despite the higher price. It also has a bunch of other great reporting and tools.

One of the ways I’ve also been able to make good money with Amazon is to automatically populate information from a WordPress plugin that I had developed based on the needs I had for building Amazon centric websites. The result was EasyAzon. The plugin allows you to insert information and affiliate links to Amazon in a much faster way than creating the links yourself by hand from Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more.
And Amazon workers in various areas have organized demonstrations this year. Over Black Friday weekend last month, Amazon workers in Italy, Germany, Spain, and the UK staged mass walkouts, protesting poor conditions and low wages. Workers at Amazon’s fulfillment center in Staten Island are currently working to unionize, on the heels of the company announcing it would open a major hub in New York.
According to an August 8, 2018 story in Bloomberg Businessweek, Amazon has about a 5 percent share of U.S. retail spending (excluding cars and car parts and visits to restaurants and bars), and a 43.5 share of American online spending in 2018. The forecast is for Amazon to own 49 percent of the total American online spending in 2018, with two-thirds of Amazon's revenue coming from the U.S.[53]
