Selling on Amazon has recently become very popular because of how easy it is to start and benefits of working with one of the top online sites. With the right strategies, there are significant opportunities for anyone to start making some income on the side. One of the things I’ve done over the past two years is track the methods I use to make money with Amazon by tracking IDs as well as keeping track of other things I’ve done while building up my Amazon websites. I initially published my findings in two blog posts early last year when I first launched this blog and even today they are still among the most popular posts (here and here). Now it’s been over a year and today I’m providing an updated list of information including several new tips that I’ve learned since that time.
In the blogging world it’s common to hear other bloggers talking about ways to make income. One of those ways is by using affiliate links. An affiliate link is a link with a tracking code; when a person clicks on that link and buys the product you get a commission on that purchase. Affiliate links are a great way to make passive income (see how much I make with affiliate income per month.)
By completing small online tasks via Amazon Mechanical Turk, you have the potential to earn a decent chunk of change. Examples of popular tasks include looking at an image and describing it in 10 words or less for a 10 cent payment, and a semi-detailed product review for a quick $2.50. While many of the tasks are low-paying, they can add up fairly quickly if you have the patience to wade through the riff-raff to find the better paying tasks. If you work at a job that has regular short delays — a customer service rep jumps to mind — Turk could make for a great way to fill those breaks with tasks that pay.
You should tell your visitors that you receive a fee if they make a purchase through one of your affiliate links, but you must comply with the EU Associates Programme Operating Agreement (for example only, you cannot offer any person or entity any consideration or incentive for using the links or imply sponsorship or endorcement by a person or company).

On January 22, 2018, Amazon Go, a store that uses cameras and sensors to detect items that a shopper grabs off shelves and automatically charges a shopper's Amazon account, was opened to the general public in Seattle.[63][64] Customers scan their Amazon Go app as they enter, and are required to have an Amazon Go app installed on their smartphone and a linked Amazon account to be able to enter.[63] The technology is meant to eliminate the need for checkout lines.[65][66][67] Amazon Go was initially opened for Amazon employees in December 2016.[68][69][70] By the end of 2018, there will be 8 total Amazon Go stores located in Seattle, Chicago, San Fransico and New York.[71] Amazon has plans to open as many as 3,000 Amazon Go locations across the United States by 2021.[72]


It’s that time of year when there’s no shortage of magazines (including Slate!) and Instagram influencers telling you what to buy. Another source of advice is Amazon itself, which appears to highlight recommendations from its vast ocean of stuff through an “Amazon’s Choice” badge. Your “best”-addled brain might be tempted by products with this badge—after all, who better to know what’s good than the purveyor of goods. Don’t do it!

To use the site, just put in the URL of the product you want to buy off Amazon, so something like http://www.amazon.com/Mohu-Leaf-Amplified-Indoor-Antenna/dp/B00APPDX86/. This will then give you a run down of the pricing history of the product. It gives you valuable insight into how the product has been priced over time and if the current price is in line with those changes. Her is a graph for the product example above.
In order for people to find the products that they list on the platform, sellers use SEO tactics to improve their products’ search ranking. Most sellers use keyword placement, sponsored ads, and targeted sales to boost their search ranking on the site. For shipping, many sellers use Amazon’s FBA program to ship their product. It guarantees 2-day delivery to shoppers, and provides a competitive advantage over other products.
"Search Inside the Book" is a feature which allows customers to search for keywords in the full text of many books in the catalog.[138][139] The feature started with 120,000 titles (or 33 million pages of text) on October 23, 2003.[140] There are about 300,000 books in the program. Amazon has cooperated with around 130 publishers to allow users to perform these searches.[citation needed]
Now is the fun part. You get to stick small labels to every one item before boxing and to ship them to the fulfillment centers. You have to be sure each item gets the right label and goes to the correct warehouse so you must stay organized. These labels are not UPCs; they are the barcodes that Amazon will scan when they receive your shipment, so they will know who it belongs to.

When the Amazon Associates Program launched in 1998, there weren’t many easy, affordable ways to make money online. Amazon's affiliate program changed that. The only problem was that making any significant income as an Amazon affiliate required selling a ton of books. Fortunately, as Amazon has expanded its product line, the ability to make income from Amazon has become easier.
One Thing Still not clear for me though about Call to Action Button, I saw on many sites that people use Pure Text Colored CSS Button with the Call to action like ( Learn more; see details; Shop at Amazon.com; Check the Price; Check the Price at Amazon; Check the Best price, etc ) the problem is the “Amazon” wording, should we use the word “Amazon” on the button? some says that Using the Word is against the terms and the Amazon EU state that one should Say where the button will take the visitor to ( indirectly said that we must say we direct visitor to amazon with that button) Very Confusing ( this is what this Post lacking )
There’s no trick to doing this. Just create links for each of the products using different tracking IDs (there’s an option to switch between IDs which creating links in any of the methods listed above except Publisher Studio, which embeds a single tracking code in the JavaScript snippet, so you’ll have to use either the Product Link tool or Site Stripe).
I have about 4 authority style sites and the rest are all mini ones. I like the money the mini’s can make but there isn’t any attractive exit strategy with those so that’s why I like to do a little of both, but I believe authority style sites have the biggest upside. As for income split I’d have to go back through all the tracking data but I’d peg it somewhat in favor of authority sites (before I sold one of my largest ones)

Hi! I love this post and I will be patient, but Amazon canceled my affiliate account too in a new blog. I didn’t even have enough affiliate links or too much traffic. We have to be patient and keep it as a hobby and maybe we will be lucky. I think if we want to instantly replace our daily jobs with blogging… will be a failure… So people do that very easy ! I really do not know how.
The shipping thing drives me nuts. It takes significantly longer for me to get anything from Amazon (WEEKS if I choose free shipping) than everyone else. Why? Because I live in a high crime area and want everything shipped to my p.o. box. I recently placed and order and chose “free shipping” because the delivery date was one day earlier than had I chosen the paid ship option – until I got to the end, whereupon my new ship date was an additional FIVE DAYS later. Get a p.o. box and try it and you’ll quickly see I’m not lying. We’re punished. Amazon whines a lot about combating thievery (let us in your house, let us in your car) but they’re strangely silent on p.o. boxes, the absolute safest option available to anyone. What’s THAT about?! I work at the USPS plant where my p.o. box is and my box is literally twenty steps from where the Amazon packages are processed – if Amazon would just ship the ****** thing out! Keep checking my phone but, nope, it STILL hasn’t shipped. Btw, USPS and FedEx have a business relationship so they can’t blame it on that. For this reason, Prime was a joke so I cancelled. And because Amazon always wanted additional money from me for every movie I wanted to watch. Kind of defeats the point. Couldn’t see any benefit to having it.

One possibility is to use different tracking IDs. Of these you can generate up to 100. To do this, you can simply generate a new tracking ID and assign it to only one Amazon Affiliate link on your website. In the statistics of the different tracking IDs, you can then see which and how often each of the links were clicked and how many products were purchased through them.
